Description

This module installs, configures, and manages the Percona products.

Setup

Beginning with percona

To configure the percona::repo with default parameters, declare the percona::repo class.

  1. include 'percona::repo'

Usage

Configuring modules

  1. class { 'percona::repo':
  2. percona_release_basearch_enabled => 0,
  3. percona_release_noarch_enabled => 0,
  4. }

Configuring modules from Hiera

  1. ---
  2. # default off
  3. percona::repo::percona_release_basearch_enabled: 0
  4. percona::repo::percona_release_noarch_enabled: 0

Private Classes

  • percona::rpm_gpg_key: Import the RPM GPG key for the Percona.

Parameters

Class: percona::toolkit

  • ensure: What state the package should be in. Default to installed.

Class: percona::xtrabackup

  • ensure: What state the package should be in. Default to installed.
  • version: Specify package version. Valid options: a string. Default to undef.

Development

Running tests

The STNS puppet module contains tests for both rspec-puppet (unit tests) and beaker-rspec (acceptance tests) to verify functionality. For detailed information on using these tools, please see their respective documentation.

Testing quickstart

  • Unit tests:
  1. $ bundle install
  2. $ bundle exec rake all
  • Acceptance tests:
  1. # Set your DOCKER_HOST variable
  2. $ eval "$(docker-machine env default)"
  3. # Run beaker acceptance tests
  4. $ BEAKER_set=centos7 bundle exec rake beaker
